We are celebrating by being independent from former landlord, and working on the house. We did get out for lunch and had a margarita and a nap when we got back.
I know Robert is sick and tired of doing this ceiling!! I think Chili is just tired from keeping watch . . .
We decided to paint the ceiling the same as the walls, and then paint the beams white to match the trim.
Here's the entry way with the closet door back on.
Hung up all the bedroom stuff on the walls, even though the bed isn't put together, and Robert still has to finish the crown molding . . .
I made a deal with Robert today after finding the chest of drawers full of clothes in the guest room. I told him I'd do his laundry and put it all up, if he'd put the missing clothes rod up in his closet (the lower one). I don't think he's had all his clothes cleaned and put away in a couple of years. Seems like he's always had a laundry basket full somewhere. (The top right section is mine.)
Put all the bathroom decor up . . .
Here is the state of the living room at the moment. Shari is coming by on Saturday to get the entertainment center, TV and stereo. Hopefully shortly after that we can get rid of the scaffolding, and go get our new couch and TV.
Put this cross next to the thermostat . . .thought it looked cute!
I worked on the guest bath and bedroom today. Unpacked all the boxes, and tried to put everything in it's place. I still need to paint the bathroom, but it's pretty far down on the list of priorities.
Still need to put the bed together after the baseboards and crown molding go up.
Need the doors put back on, new ceiling fan, curtains, and switch plate covers.
Linen closet needs a door too.
Guess what I'll be working on this weekend??? Can't even get in this room! It's got all my craft stuff, and Robert's guitar stuff in it . . . and he's itching to play his guitar again.
Oh yeah, we got a new grill. It was only $130 at Lowe's. Need to go cook dinner . . .
