Tried to go to work today, but still felt awful. Decided to go to the doctor instead. I couldn't get in to see Dr. Schmidt, so went to the Urgent Care instead . . . and I'm glad I did. Dr. Schmidt probably wouldn't have done a flu test, and it turns out I have the flu! Spent an hour at the pharmacy (AGAIN) to pick up some kind of inhaler thing and some more cough medicine. Now I have NO vacation or sick days left until July 1st!

Spent ALL day in bed with 102 fever! Didn't do anything but sleep and watch TV. Robert was a sweetheart and stayed home to take care of me.

I'm sick. This is what my phone looked like when I got home and went straight to bed. The calendar appointments are actually things that happened this morning. Oh well. Going back to sleep with my 101 degree fever . . .

Are all pharmacy's this slow . . . or just the one's I go to? Waited 30 minutes this time! SIGH The coupons that saved me $70 on two prescriptions really threw them for a loop. Allergy pills, sleeping pills, antacids, and cheese and sour cream for Robert. Would have been $120 . . . got it for $50!

Robert filled 9 bags of leaves and hedge trimmings today, while I did the running around. Went and got my oil change, car inspected, and car washed. Then went to the scrapbook store in Waxahachie, and the antique store next to it, Kohl's, then the grocery store.

I totally forgot to take a picture of this as soon as it came out of the oven! LOL It was SOOO much better than it looks at this moment. Papa Murphy's DeLite pizza . . half Hawaiian, half Mediterranean. Luckily I had 19 points left for the day, so I stayed within my daily points. Woohoooo

No picture today . . I put the Point tracker I got from going to the Weight Watcher at work orientation in it's place.

Joined Weight Watchers @ work today. Had already joined online, but thought I could use the extra help. It's only $10 a paycheck. About 50 people showed up for the first meeting . . so LOTS of support.

This day didn't start out good with a 9am conference call, followed by 2 hours of STRESS! By 11, I BADLY needed some retail therapy. Found this CUTE purse at Kohls. (of course it was on sale, everything is ALWAYS on sale there!)

Crockpot Sunday! That's what my Sunday's seem to be lately. It leaves me enough leftovers for the week so that I don't eat JUNK. Today was one bag of frozen chicken breasts, one packet of taco seasoning, one jar of salsa (blended for my preference), 2 cans of corn, 2 can of black beans . . . and 2 bags of instant rice added at the end. I can eat it with a couple of chips or on a tortilla, or just plain. mmmmmm Oh, and don't forget my flowers. Robert got them for me yesterday at the store. I LOVE tulips. And, of course there is CBS Sunday Morning on the TV in the background. Can't start out my Sunday's without it.

Oh, it's been TOO long. We finally brought in the experts to clean our house for us. Today was the "deep clean" and to see how Chili would act with them. I'm soooo excited to have a clean house, and I didn't have to DO it!

I can't believe how COLD it was today! This is TEXAS?! This was at about 8:15am on my way to work, and my phone said it was 25 degrees! We should atleast have snow if it's gonna be this cold!

My lunch. Taco soup and catching up with facebook on my phone. Didn't want to go out, so I could leave work as early as possible and get to sleep early. I coughed more than I slept last night.

Ugghhhh. Whatta Day! Coughed up BOTH lungs last night, so I called in sick to work. Then spent 2 hours trying to call the doctor for an appointment. They came in late because of the weather. Finally saw him at 2:45. Got an antibiotic shot (that's why I love this doctor . . shots!!). Feel better already. Also got some cough syrup and more antibiotics. Time to nip this crap in the BUD!

Not enough snow to shake a stick at! So, we threw the sticks in the fire, ate some Taco Soup, and watched the boob-tube. Did see some snow fall, but none of it stuck.

Put up all the Christmas stuff today. Robert had actually taken down the tree last weekend, and I just got around to the rest of it while we were cleaning the house. Not much to put away this year.

This stuff is sooooo GOOD! Found it years ago at the grill store, and been using it ever since. Had Robert throw some chicken breasts in the oven before I got home with some Pecan Rub on them, and they were ready to top my salad when I got home! YUMMMM! And still have 4 points left for dessert!

Trying to wear my new fitbit everyday. Can even track my sleep with it. Didn't get on the treadmill this morning because of this DAMN cold. Maybe tomorrow? I'm tracking meals on weight watchers.

Not promising anything, but trying this picture a day thing again. I got the "Project Life" kit, so I'm doing it "manually" instead of digitally. I'll just take the pictures, and catch up every so often. Here's the last 4 days:


Just 2 blocks from home. Gorgeous sunset tonight . . . but I'm soooooo tired of this commute. Need a job closer to home, or to win the Lotto!


Robert can't STAND this show! It's fake, it's scripted . . . and I LOVE it! LOL Tonight is the season premiere. First day back at work, sick, perfect night to veg in front of the TV!


Here is where I'm spending my day! Woke up feeling kinda puny. Robert is in his new studio, so I'm gonna PLAY today! I don't wanna go to work tomorrow! :(


Rang in the New Year at the lake with Shawn, Leah (hands in pic), Evan and Lauren. Seven of us played poker and I was the 4th one out. Better than I thought I would do. Lost $20. Bummer! :(
